I was curious what led a Russian to write a creation story for the Japanese silkworm and why the divine tones to the story.

Turns out, in Japan, silkworms are considered to be ‘Heavenly Insects”. This belief is popular in the mythology of Northeastern Japan. The roots of their divine mythology traces back to Siberian culture.

Our cultures do tend to overlap even in the oldest of times.
