Podcast EpisodesNaPodPoMo 2022
National Podcasting Posting Month is an annual podcasting challenge to post 30 podcasts in 30 days. It was created and run by Jennifer Navarette known as @epodcaster as annual event.
Jennifer had been encouraging me to start a podcast so I took the challenge. I prefer narrating content to doing interviews. Having found several of Leo Tolstoy’s short works I undertook to do the challenge narrating them.
If you’d like to start at the beginning, visit the index I created for the series.
The Falcon and the Cock — Episode 11
The rooster certainly had a point. If going where you’re summoned has a good chance of having a bad outcome, why would you happily go?
The Raven and His Young — Episode 10
Answering honestly certainly saved the young raven. Honesty usually is the best policy, but, I’m not sure I’d have taken that chance dangling above an ocean.
Episode 9 – Equal Inheritance
There is value in making our own way in life. We know how to appreciate and make good use of the assets we have. There is a lot of truth in the oft heard “easy come, easy go”.
Episode 8 – The Peasant and the Precious Stone
I like this story showing corrupt greed isn’t rewarded. The peasant took a chance choosing the lashings, but had some faith the Tsar would be compassionate.
The Wolf and the Old Woman – Episode 7
The wolf got his expectations higher than they should be when he believed some outrageous comments would really happen and he’d benefit.
The King and the Falcon – Episode 6
Sometimes a quick temper can lead to actions we later regret and a simple apology will not fix. Take a beat before reacting to something that is irritating you.
Peter the First and the Peasant – Episode 5
Today’s story features a peasant conversing with a stranger unaware of the stranger’s status. We never know who we might be meeting in life.
The King and the Shirt – Episode 4
This is a very short story about the Kings quest for happiness in the wrong places. The destination could have been much closer to home.
The Peasant & The Cucumbers – Episode 3
A peasant with big dreams for his future gets caught up in them while stealing the cucumbers to get him started.
Who Was Leo Tolstoy – Episode 2
As writers we bring the sum total of our experiences, learning and observations to our writing. Leo Tolstoy was an incredibly gifted writer.
